A days outing with Papa and Gramma to Queen Elizabeth Park...
Our little horticulturalist... an entire park devoted to formal gardening and she's fascinated with a stray and wild miniature daisy off in some obscure corner... my kind of girl!
She runs and hippity-hops... everywhere!
Our Little Bathing Beauty!
The fountains looked quite subdued... and then SWOOSH!!!
A little tentative at first... and then a few moments later she was running through them with great delight! A cursory glance thrown over her shoulder... "Come on Gramma!"
And she is off to the other side of the water to catch the next spray!
In between fountain spray cool downs, it's off to explore the garden pathways...
sprinklers to enjoy and bridges to cross.
This is what wide open fields were made for...
... a little girl, in a straw sunhat, running through wild daisies on a warm summers day.
My favourite view of the day...
There is a sweet contentment to be found in stepping back for a moment and watching the ones that you love walking, together, ahead of you... then comes the pure delight of running like mad to catch up to them again!
