More Than We Bargained For...

While out on a drive this past weekend,
Scott and I decided to visit a Clearance House
that we had not been to for some time.

I remembered the last time we were there,
I was able to pick up some sweet little straw gift bags
that were fully lined and embellished, 10 for $2.
Fabulous!
Those little bags were so much fun to fill and give away,
to little girls and big girls alike!

This time as we walked through the doors,
we were wondering what would be available.
Within seconds we realized that we were in
for more than we bargained for!

These burgers were one of the first thing to greet us...
They are the same height as I am!

This fellow was serving up some cake,
and I decided to take him up on his offer!
Notice that I had already scooped up a condiment serving set...
I'm already thinking of Summer Tea's in the Garden!

Here's someone's knight in shining armour,
bringing home the beef...

this is more like what my hungry men look like
when they get home,
and are looking for a man sized meal!

My name is not Betty,
and although my kitchen feels like a diner at times,
I surely do not look as cute as this when I serve up the meals...

this would probably be more accurate!
A stunned wonder!

Amazingly,
 among all these distractions,
I did manage to find a few items that were bargain deals,
as well as being better reflective of my particular tastes!

One was this solid wooden, nine compartment box.
I just loved it right away.

When I opened it up I was delighted to find nine cotton fabric sachets,
all with lining fabric inserts filled with wood shavings!
These are perfect little gifts to place at a Garden Tea table setting,
filled with dried Lavender from the summer bounty.

Since it was already opened,
I asked the sales girl if I could perhaps get an even better deal on the price...
she let me have it for HALF of what they were asking!
Under $10!

Definitely more than I bargained for!
